For Tyler, machining is more than just a job — it’s a passion that spans generations within his family. His grandfather started a machine shop, which his father eventually took over, teaching Tyler how to machine parts manually and via CNC from a young age. Now, as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Fast Radius, Tyler helps to ensure that parts are manufacturable on CNC machines, working in our factory to help quote orders, plan production, and manufacture parts. Though he hesitates to use the term “expert” to describe his skills, as he’s continuously expanding upon his knowledge, Tyler has deep experience in the areas of CNC machining and programming, GD&T, and CAD modeling. Prior to Fast Radius, Tyler worked as a Project Engineer in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, designing vehicle suspensions, validating designs, and managing projects for customer programs. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys playing guitar and cooking — but usually not at the same time.
